ATLANTA, October 21 - More than 200 college students from 3 colleges in the Indianapolis area will travel to St. Louis this weekend, but not for the "So You Think You Dance" Tour.
Campus Outreach of Indianapolis will visit the city with the students for their annual Retreat that is aimed to offer the students an environment to focus on Christ in their life and ways to maintain the balance with the tolls of college. Traveling for the first time this year, the Campus Outreach organization is prepared for the "St. Louis: Give Us The Truth" weekend beginning October 26th.
The Retreat, which brings together students from Indiana State, University of Southern Indiana and IUPUI (Indiana University and Purdue University), will include a tour of the city, sessions and activities combined with keynote speakers sharing their faith.
The highlight of the weekend will include an appearance by national Gospel Rap recording artist FLAME – a native of St. Louis. FLAME is scheduled to minister in song as well as address the issues that he experiences with balancing his faith and school. "I'm excited to participate with Campus Outreach in ministry," says Flame. "I believe that God is preparing leaders to reach the culture for His glory through Jesus Christ and college age students are the perfect group to head up this mission."
Well received by the students each year, the Fall Retreat is gaining increased popularity because of the friendships and memories that remain as well as the fellowship centered on Christ. Campus Outreach of Indianapolis is expecting the events that occur this weekend in St. Louis to also change and positively affect their futures.
ABOUT CAMPUS OUTREACH
Founded in 1978 at Briarwood Presbyterian Church in Birmingham, Campus Outreach is an interdenominational ministry targeting strategic college campuses in the United States and throughout the world. The vision of Campus Outreach is to "Build Laborers on the Campus for the Lost World." We seek to build laborers with a commitment to the Great Commission through evangelism and discipleship. We are passionately reaching students with the gospel and training them to become mature followers of Christ. Our desire is then to see students leave college fully equipped to labor in the harvest field for the glory of God. www.coindy.org
